Support for Teachers and Advisers
The Medical Schools Council, funded by Health Education England, will run a series of webinars and conferences for teachers and advisers in 2022. Aimed at teachers and advisers in England who are supporting under-represented students into medicine, the events will range from advice on the admissions process through to the values and attributes needed to study medicine.
We will update this site with more information and details on how to register as it becomes available.
Medical Schools Teachers and Advisers Webinars for 2022
These hour-long webinars will provide accurate and up to date advice for teachers and advisers. Different sessions will be held each month and advertised on this page.
If you are interested in attending, please register. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis as numbers are strictly limited.
Foundation and gateway programmes: Wednesday 16th February 1-2pm

Medical Schools Teachers and Advisers Conferences for 2022/2023
Medical Schools will be running a series of face-to-face and online conferences for schools and colleges. The conferences will cover a range of topics, from admissions tests and interviews through to entry requirements.
The conferences this year will be:

Lincoln Conference on Friday 23rd September 2022
This in-person event aims to target teachers and careers advisors across the county of Lincolnshire and provide them with key information they can use to inform students wishing to consider a career in medicine. The conference will be led by Lincoln Medical School in collaboration with the University of Nottingham, Hull York Medical School and The University of Leicester and will provide guidance on available courses, application processes, and what help is in place for those who need it. There will be opportunity to get involved in practical and discussion sessions and delegates will have the chance to speak to medical professionals, medical students and university staff to ask any questions they may have.
The event will be followed by an online session at a later date (time and date to be confirmed), where delegates will be able to provide feedback on the event and ask any additional questions.
