The membership of the Medical Schools Council consists of 45 medical schools including one post-graduate school. Meetings are attended by representatives from the medical schools who are usually either the heads of medical schools or of health faculties which contain medical schools.
The work of the Medical Schools Council is steered by an Executive Committee which is elected from its membership.
All representatives sit on one of three sub-committees which discuss matters relating to research, education, and clinical staffing and employment.
